Trunk or Treat
Townscape celebrates Halloween with the community at the Festival of Frights sponsored by the Millerton-North East Library. Once again, we look forward to “trunk or treat” where we will be handing out candy for the kids and seed packets (for spring planting) for the grownups. Please join us!
Millerton Farmers Market
Saturday 3 August at the Methodist Church grounds and Veterans Park: The Millerton Farmers Market, sponsored by the North East Community Center (NECC). Drop by to say hello at the Townscape table, then shop for homegrown, handmade, and home-baked items from local vendors.
50/50 raffle DRAWING and tickets available
This summer Townscape has been running a 50/50 raffle, with tickets available for purchase at our Townscape table at the Farmers Market. Ticket prices are $5 for 1 or $20 for 5. One lucky winner will be randomly drawn this Saturday 3 August at 1:30 PM. To participate, stop by our table to purchase a ticket. You do not need to be present at the drawing; Townscape will contact the winner.
Village Concert
The Village Concert at Eddie Collins Memorial Park/Millerton Community Park and sponsored by the Village of Millerton. Music by Northwest Passage Band, food from Mario and Esperanza’s Kitchen and Weeize’s Quick Stop, and local community organizations will be there with fun activities for children and adults.

Summer Stroll
Saturday 13 July, check out the Village of Millerton’s annual Summer Stroll, presented by the Millerton Business Alliance. There will be live music, summer sales, refreshments, and children’s activities. For more information about Summer Stroll, visit www.visitmillerton.com.

Opening Day - Millerton Farmers Market
Saturday 18 May at the Methodist Church grounds and Veterans Park. Opening Day for the Millerton Farmers Market, sponsored by the North East Community Center (NECC). Check out live music by The Golden Stars from 11:00 to 1:00; shop for homegrown, handmade, and home-baked items from local vendors; and bring the kids for prizes and games. Don’t forget to drop by to say hello at the Townscape table.
Townscape’s Annual Flower Planting
On Friday 17 May, Townscape will commence our annual flower planting at 8:30 AM in Veterans Park, around the war memorial obelisk. Flower planting will continue through the park and along Main Street and the Webatuck bridge. Please stop by to see our progress as we brighten up the village with colorful flora. If you would like to lend a hand, please send us a message.
Earth Day Clean Up
Townscape is sponsoring an Earth Day clean up, encouraging local residents and schools to clean up Millerton. A tremendous thank you to Indian Mountain School and Hotchkiss School students who have volunteered their time to collect roadside litter on the streets and rail trail. Stop by our table in at the Farmers Market if you would like to be a part of the clean up.

For the second year, Townscape celebrates Halloween with the community: “Trunk or Treat,” sponsored by the Millerton/North East Library. This year, our “trunk” is decorated with creepy flowers, skulls, spiders, and skeletons! We look forward to seeing the kids in their costumes!
